Accommodation and families
Pupils stay with families in Bray. We believe that living with a family is the best way to get to know and understand Irish culture and mentality.
All the families are visited and carefully selected by the school management. Some are former pupils of Brook House when it was an Irish private school. The families live in housing developments so close to the school that the students can walk to and from.
When required and if possible, we try to place students with Irish children of the same age.
Pupils on the programme are accommodated two per family with a few exceptions.
Meals
Among the customs and traditions of a country, food is one of the aspects of its culture. Learning how to adapt to it and meal times is one of the experiences and objectives of the programme.
Students have lunch at school every day, where our cooks prepare healthy and varied meals. The school management will follow up any problem that may arise in this regard.
Medical insurance
All students should bring their European Health Insurance Card which entitles them to health care in EU countries.
The school doctor comes twice a week (included in the total price). Surgery and home visits are invoiced separately.
The price includes Travel Insurance with benefits such as health care, repatriation, travel to Ireland for a family member, cover for lost luggage, civil liability, etc.
